Vaccination
Disputes about vaccination in infancy go on for years. There are many pros and contras. If to sum it up, one of the main reasons for the need for vaccination in childhood is that children’s immunity is weaker than an adult’s and is more susceptible to certain diseases.
What we recommend:
Hepatitis B (Hep B-1st shot)
in hospital
Pentacel (DTP-1, IPV-1, HIB-1)
in 2 month
Hepatitis B (Hep B-2nd shot)
in 2 month
Previnar-13 (PCV-1)
in 2 month
Rotateg (Rotavirus-1)
in 2 month
Vaccination of newborns is carried out on the third day after birth. The vaccine is administered subcutaneously on the surface of the left shoulder. Immediately after the introduction of the vaccine a papule of white color is formed in this place, which disappears after about 20 minutes.
Features of the vaccination procedure in America:
- In America, as in every WHO member state, there is a vaccination schedule for children from 0 to 18 years of age; at the moment, the US vaccination schedule includes 16 vaccines;
- the first vaccination according to the schedule – Hepatitis B vaccination – is recommended immediately after the birth of the baby;
- in the United States, no child will be vaccinated without the parents’ documented consent;
- if for some reason the vaccination was not done in time, remember that all recommendations and schedules are arbitrary; the main condition being that the intervals should not be less than specified;
- in the United States, there is no tuberculosis vaccination, since this disease is considered defeated in America.
The correct and reliable option for parents is to compile together with the pediatrician an individual vaccination plan for your child. The main thing to remember is that the quality of vaccines and medicine in the US is one of the highest in the world, which makes the procedures safe and predictable.
